For those of us who need a bit of extra time to prepare abstracts for the IAL-IPA joint meeting in Aix-les-Bains, France October 6-10, 2025, good news!
The abstract deadline has been extended to June 22, 2025. We expect that this will be the final deadline with no further extensions.
Please note that the deadlines for the IAS student travel grant and the IAL-IPA Student Inclusion travel grant have now passed (May 30th, 2025).

Attention students! IAS Student Travel grants now available
The International Association of Sedimentologists will support IAS student members to travel to the IAL-IPA joint meeting in Aix-les-Bains, France Oct 6–10, 2025. Thank you IAS for your sponsorship!
To apply, submit an abstract at the meeting website, and then apply for the IAS student travel grants on their website. Only IAS student members who present as first authors are eligible.
The deadline to apply is May 30, 2025.

IAL Bradley & Gierlowski-Kordesch Awards 2025
The nomination deadline for the W.H. Bradley Medal for Lifetime Achievement in Limnogeology and Gierlowski-Kordesch Early Career Excellence in Limnogeology awards has now passed (April 18, 2025).
The award recipients will be announced to the IPA-IAL community in a medal ceremony at the upcoming joint symposium in Aix les Bains, France, October 2025

The Virtual IAL-IPA ECR Meeting is a free, online event that will be held June 16-18, 2025 before the in-person joint meeting of the International Association of Limnogeology (IAL) and the International Paleolimnology Association (IPA) in France.

We are happy to announce the IAL-IPA Student Inclusion Grant, which will support student inclusion in the upcoming 3rd Paleolimnology and Limnogeology International Symposium in Aix-les-Bains, France, October 6–10, 2025.
The grants will be awarded to students who present at the conference in person (oral or poster), and will cover registration fees and accommodation (provided) in Aix-les-Bains. We expect to offer four to six grants in total.
