The IAL-IPA Student Inclusion Grant will support student inclusion in the upcoming 3rd Paleolimnology and Limnogeology International Symposium in Aix-les-Bains, France, Oct. 6th–10th, 2025.
CLOSED: the deadline for applications was May 30, 2025.
The grants will be awarded to students who present at the conference in person (oral or poster), and will cover registration fees and accommodation (provided) in Aix-les-Bains. We expect to offer four to six grants in total.
To apply, you will need to prepare:
A cover letter that highlights (a) why it is important for you to attend the symposium in person, and (b) provides some information regarding your financial needs;
A letter of support from your supervisor that confirms that you are an active student;
Your abstract; and,
Proof of abstract submission.
Please compile the application materials into a single .pdf file named “Your name_IAL-IPA Student Inclusion Grant application”, and email your application to ialimnogeology@gmail.com by May 30, 2025.
Eligibility
Applicants must have submitted an abstract before applying for the grant and intend to present at the meeting in person. Only active students registered in a formal degree program (BSc., MSc, or PhD) are eligible. Financial need will be considered, with special consideration of students applying from developing or low-income countries as defined by the World Bank.
